Badger Meter's Oval Gear flow meters are designed to function in applications that require an accurate volume dispensing. The Oval Gear Enhanced (OGE) electronic lube meters are designed specifically to dispense motor oils (SAE 5 to 50), gear oils (SAE80 to 240), automatic transmission fluid, antifreeze (ethylene glycol), brake fluid, windshield wiper fluid, and engine coolant solutions. The modular lightweight rugged design of the OGE meter is a great choice for overhead reel systems. The electronic register module contains a microprocessor board powered by a lithium battery. It is programmed to dispense in quarts and will totalize in quarts. The meter calibration factor is determined during factory test. The meter can be recalibrated in the field for fluids or different viscosity if required.
Positive displacement meters, including Oval Gear meters, measure volumetric flow rate of a liquid or gas passing through the meter by repeatedly entrapping it with rotating parts to measure the volume. Oval gear meters consist of two toothed precision wheels that are oval shaped. As fluid passes through the meter, the oval wheels rotate proportionately, the number of rotations is equal to the volume measurement.
