Dixon 200 Series threaded hammer unions work at extremely high pressures, mismatching components of one series with another can lead to destruction of property, bodily injury and/or death. Non-shocking cold water pressure means that the standard operating pressure is at ambient temperature. No spikes higher than this pressure. No instantaneous pressure increases , example 0-2000 PSI in 1/4 of a second.
