JME Model 100 Female NPT Emergency Vents
Model 100 emergency vents provide high volume pressure relief for above ground storage fuel tank used to store automotive fuels. They are powder coated and spring loaded. The nitrile gasket and constant spring pressure create an air tight seal. When the internal tank pressure reaches .5 psig, the spring loaded cover raises and releases the excess air. As the pressure drops, the spring returns the cover to its original position on the body.
Emergency vents must be properly sized for each specific tank application. Venting capacity requirements for specific fuel tank vent sizes can be found in UL 142. Emergency vents must be used in conjunction with an atmospheric vent. UL File # MH46387
WARNING: Emergency Vents are designed for “Emergency Venting” and must be used in conjunction with other venting devices. Emergency vents must be sized per UL requirements.
