STA-LOK II is a passive locking feature that automatically locks the handle into place, if it is fully closed. To open the handles there are manual quick release levers. Proper use of this mechanism can help prevent spills by keeping the cam arms from opening under adverse conditions, such as high vibrations, pulsing, wear and hazardous materials. STA-LOK II couplers meet the Coast Guard ASTM 1122-87 specifications for quick disconnect couplers.
All cam arms are 316 stainless steel. Rings and pins are 300 series stainless steel.
